Yes, it’s true. Yesterday I had to defend the store from a marauding army of giant snails that threatened to overwhelm it. My nice clean establishment was in severe danger of sinking beneath a layer of revolting slime. Not to mention the threat of walls being flattened. The dreadful beasts were in some kind of race apparently and careless of where they went or of how much slime they left behind. Here are some snapshots I took while trying to defend my plot.
So that was yesterday, and I was up all night cleaning the walls with my toothbrush. You’ll be pleased to know my store still looks great though, it survived the onslaught. Like me, it’s tough.
Anyway, if you drop by you’ll also see that while I was cleaning I took the opportunity to rearrange everything a bit. There are now nice big signs showing the different sections: “Tinies”; “Gifts”; “Humans”. And a new section, labelled appropriately enough “New” for yes, you’ve guessed it, the latest products. One of my newest items is in the Tiny Swagtastic Weekend L$50 sale this weekend. Here is the picture of it, it’s not too late to get it.
Finally, I’ll be hosting Tinywood Squares once again at Limbo later today at 11.30am SLT. And I’m on the hunt for models for the forthcoming Bristow fashion show. Drop me an IM if you’re interested.
This new hunt starts today. It’s a bit different from regular hunts, in short you can either buy the hunt object for L$25, or you can hunt for it and if you find it pay only $L1. Of course, you’ve got to find it, muaha. I’ve tried to be a wicked gator this time!
So what is the object you’re looking for? Here it is:
In other news, Tinywood Squares happened again yesterday evening, and went swimmingly. I meant to take a snapshot to share here but of course I forgot. Pfft. The event is likely to take place every other Sunday, so next time I really will try to remember.
I haven’t put anything on the TSW Friday sales list for a while, so I figured it was about time I did. So here’s a new greeting card, featuring one of my paintings. As you can see from the salesboard it’s fully scripted and musical. And customizable–add your own message. Only L$50.
Tomorrow, that’s Monday, 6th July, at 7pm SLT, Gyro Muggins will be reading aloud my self published story, The Martian Ascent at the regular Seanchai Library event. Needless to say I feel quite honoured and delighted that he wants to do this. It’s just a pity I won’t be able to go myself, but 7pm SLT is 3am for me and I plan on being in bed!
As you can see if you visit the “sneak peek” page on my official writing blog The Martian Ascent is a science fiction adventure story. Three little people attempt to be the first to climb the tallest mountain in the solar system where they find the mountain not only a huge physical challenge, but more mysterious than they could have ever imagined.
I hear Gyro will be dressing up as one of the characters as well, so it should be interesting. If you manage to go, let me know how it went!
In other news, last Sunday I ran my first game of Tinywood Squares at Limbo. Officially, this was a practice session, but even so it was a very well attended with Froggie in his usual middle square and Gracie and Petunia competing as contestants. We managed to get through two rounds without too many botch ups from me and everyone seemed happy snappy, which was the most important thing. So watch the events calendar to see when the next game will be.
Finally, Gator’s Gallery’s has a cart at the Mieville fete right now, so if you’re quick it’s worth going to have a look around. And I have a new Facebook page. Come along and offer friendship to see what I share with my friends.
